What Countertop Is Best For You?
When contemplating an updated look to your kitchen, ask yourself what countertop is best for you. At the Creative Surfaces Countertops we have four different products available for your new countertop. The easy-to-read chart below highlights some of the most asked questions when making a solid decision.
Quartz
One of our most popular brands of Quartz is Cambria. It is manufactured in the midwest, in Minneapolis, MN & has 180 different designs. Visit our Cambria Gallery to view FULL SLABS of Cambria’s beauty. Quartz is one of the hardest, most abundant minerals found in nature – only diamond, sapphire and topaz are harder. Besides beauty, the quartz gives the countertops extreme strength, making Quartz countertops highly scratch-resistant. Quartz countertops are made from crushed pure natural quartz and combined with a small amount of pigment and resin to create a slab of uncommon beauty and strength.
Granite
Since the beauty of granite is a result of its origins in nature, it may contain color variations, surface marks and blemishes. The pattern and color may vary slightly within the same slab, even, though the slabs may have been cut from the same area. Granite’s natural strength and durability give it heat and scratch resistance, making it a natural choice for countertops.
Solid Surface
Since solid surface is 100% acrylic-based surface products, they are solid, nonporous and do not require sealing. They’re naturally resistant to heat, mold, mildew and most stains, even tough stains are easily buffed away. They’re renewable and repairable — scratches are easily repaired. Solid surface countertops are manufactured with high-performance resin systems such as acrylic and unsaturated polyester. They can be precisely cut and bonded to fit nearly any surface shape. Some popular types of solid surface we have available are Corian® by DuPont, Formica®, and Wilsonart/Wilsonart HD to name a few.
Laminate
This is NOT your grandmother’s laminate. Laminate now comes in thousands of different styles from plain solid colors to stone designs and wood grains that resemble REAL stone and actual wood slabs. If you are not looking to spend a lot, but want a high-end LOOK, then check out some of our high-definition laminates we have available from Wilsonart, Formica®, or Nevarmar®.
